How Apple is going to make Augmented Reality a part of our lives within 3 years

Apple has just released details of what we can look forward to from the company by 2020. It comes in the form of an augmented reality device which will project a digital overlay on the real world and will function with a new operating system called ¨rOS¨ (reality operating system) with a special chip. Needless to say, it will still be developed to be compatible with existing software applications as well and unlike current virtual reality devices, which use smartphones to function, this one will have its own monitor.

Apple has given examples of the optimized experiences which will be possible with these glasses, such as different communication mediums being superimposed on our immediate vision, suggesting that we will always be connected.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, also recently announced that augmented reality in the social network world will exist in the foreseeable future, and it will be interesting to see if these new trends have more success with the public than those in the past. Having said that, technology is always being improved, so there’s no doubt that whatever is being developed will impress social media users.

At Arvolution we think it’s awesome how augmented reality is set to fundamentally change the world in which we live, positively having an impact on all the activities we do in our day to day lives; from studying to having fun and being combined with all the features that make us human.

Arvolution specialises in XR technology (augmented, virtual and mixed reality) and we are able to create customized experiences tailored to your needs.
